Testing Our Bridges: Reflecting

We had to do build a model bridge and see if a toy truck, carrying three little blocks, could go over our bridge, without the bridge bending or falling over. Our bridge did not succeed because the barrier was not strong or stable enough and also because the pillars were not stable.


Next time we will make the pillars the right measurement and the barriers much more stable by using something else besides double - sided tape.

Our brilliant beans!

A few weeks ago Room 6 Planted kidney beans (I think) in plastic cups. At first, we had plastic bags with a napkin and each of them having our beans inside.We had the idea of planting beans after reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.

We carefully watched till we had to put some soil in. That was when we planted our beans in plastic cups. All of us plotted our beans into our topic books and wrote up to 14 or 16 days to see its progress. Right now the person with the tallest bean is M.L, B.R or M.Y. I can't really remember, but nevermind.

Our Bridge Building Project

For Topic we have been researching the different types of bridges after reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We then decided to build our own bridges with a buddy. After careful consideration and lots of discussion we chose a type of bridge to construct. We did a brainstorm and planned how we were going to achieve this. After making detailed sketches of our designs we made a prototype. Here are some of our prototypes. Keep watching to see our final creations. We are sure you will be impressed!!!

I just woke up from a horrible nightmare. Drops of sweat were falling into the palm of my hand. I got up and poured a glass of juice.My stomach growled badly. Grrrrr! I asked my chef to make me a cumin omelet.When the omelet went down my throat it felt weird, sorta like a yummy kind of weird.Later I went downstairs but my family wasn't there. Then I went to the TV room. I first put on CNBC but then I got bored.



I went to my doorman,Norman and asked him: "Is today the day when I go to the Telstra building?" He nodded. I glared at him. Then I ran outside. There was a gleaming white limo. I sat in the limo and inside there was a TV, laptop and a wine bar.

As soon as I got into the Telstra building I dashed out of the limo and ran to the back of the stage."Is it my turn?" I asked the stage man. He nodded and I rant to the stage. Every one including my family,sitting in the V.I.P. area screaming out my name. I cupped the microphone and sang:"Beat it! Beat it!" The crowd shrieked with joy. At the end, I left with a two million dollar check. When I reached home my family hugged me hard core.That day was my favorite day.

I dressed up as princess Snow white. Princess Snow white needs to watch out because an evil witch wants to kill her.
